3- This Month Article: Songwriter Website News..Hi everyone and welcome to our latest issue of SongMakerX-press, and I'll will start with the news that I have put two candles on my sites birthday cake. After lightning the candles, and singing the classical "Happy Birthday" song. I got back to work.. and just wondering about the past two years, what's been happening and what could done better.Things like that That's were I'll talk about in this issue. It will be just a brief article about the past and the future that will be done or think about to do things.
Well, to be honest..starting a web site was a good idea. It kept me busy, (and still is) and cause I didn't had the time anymore for writing songs (tree kids take a lot of time and make a lot of noise too some times)it was an excellent compensation for the songwriting thing.
No worried, I will start writing songs again, when the kids are a bit older and go to school, I'll getting my songwriting career back on the rails.
Life of a songwriter is hard work. Because you have to focus on so many things, and you can't allow yourself to slow down a bit. If you wish to be successful, you need a lot of songs. The many songs you write the more chance you have to have a commercial hit song. Also, you must develop a few skills: Your instrument playing, the lyric writing,perhaps you can improve your vocal abilities, and maybe you wanna learn how to make an excellent recording.
All this takes time, and a lot of time. You must have a big passion for the songwriting thing if you want to hold on. Determined and focused on your goal. When you have a family, wife and kids, things a slightest different. You have to divide your time through your passion and the family business. So, I've chosen to spend more time with the kids ( didn't had much choice really), and that's why I've started this web site to pass-on all the information that I've gathered through the years. Building this web site was a lot of work too, because I didn't had much experience with this, but I learned while i was doing it. I worked on the computer in the evening doesn't make that much noise, so the kids were sleeping while I was busy to create more pages of content. A few things that I planning to do in the future.
- A page with resources to Keyboard -synthersizer lessons will com-up soon. - More songwriting tips will be added. -I'm still busy up-dating the record labels. (Need still up dating:Rock,Punk, -something about the small all in one mixer, very useful for songwriters who are planning to have their own recording studio. - A page with record labels that are accepting demo submissions. I'm also working on the idea of social networking web site , were songwriters,singer-songwriters,musicians "you" can participate and make a contribution to my site with interesting stories, subjects....
Something like a video promotion corner , but bigger.. and not quit the same..More Inter-action possible..Like I said it's an idea and still in progress. When or how, I have to think it over yet about how to develop this process and see if there are enough people interested in such a project too .More about this later-on. Further more .. we'll just see what the future will bring to us,and time will learn. Hope to meet you again folks,next month ( and this time I'll be on time). Lots of fun..
