3)First of all a short introduction

Our site is about songwriting..with a lot of other news and information also.. Info about music business, music promotion, music recording... Why this website? A few years ago I decided to created this website to share all the knowledge that I 'I've gathered through the years.

I always say that I can't learn how to write a hit song, because if there was a recipe for hit songs, every one would writing hit songs, and hit-songs would become normal. Compare it as if everybody would know the winning numbers of the lottery..and hit the jackpot..

What I do is giving advice on how to promote, and record your songs as a professional would do. Also, I try to find resources that accept demo submissions, and that's probably the biggest work, and also very highly targeted by our site's visitors..

Most of our visitors, about 70 %,are from the United States, 15% from the UK, and the rest from Europe, Australia, Canada China and more than 100 other countries..

What I probably,may could do is split the site in two parts.. One would be the musicbusiness part with resources from the music industry, and an other would be more about all the thins concerning the sonwriting, and the songwriter..

What I will develope in the nearby future is the "Band and artist" corner..This page will be a forum for songwriters and singer-songwriters.. to promote themselfes and to promote the music.. This whole concept is still in an developing stage, it's an idea that will grow in time....We will see later on how much reponse there will come..

An other thing is...

In our newsletter we will continue with free promotion for bands, or adds for Singers looking for songs".. The newsletter is also "FREE" and stays free..

4) Article: Which way will you take to record your promotion demo...

The home recording

For people with a spare room in the house or in their backyard, it's something to consider..Nowadays, digital recording equipment ihas become so cheap and yet has such a great quality....A computer can handle all your recordings from a rough first recording , to a nearly perfect end recording...

You only need some quality sound card, or a digital recording studio that you find on the market for a decend price going with your finacial possibitities...From small, to bigger..and the price goes in the same order..But for less than $1000 , 800 euro, £600, you have a quality recording device..There are also online tools that you can download..but personly I don't like them to much..

Although they could give you very satisfying results. For me, I like to record the old way with stuff that I can hold in my hands..Like I said, some will like these online recording studios so much.. And indeed, it's an easy and quick way to record songs, but it's not my cup of tea (or coffee).. Home recording is more than recording tools , it's also about finding a place that has a good sound insulation.

So no unnecessary strange sounds will appear on your recordings.. I have a Boss digital recorder, that suits my recording needs..

Home recording is great , but the next road is also something that I really recommend to go for or to consider doing..

The online demo recording service..

It may be a rough recording...Then you contact the recording service.. THen you can send all the information, and the audio files online with your email..(If they accept ofcourse) Some services do still working ofline when it comes to sending cds recordings.... But mostly, everything goes online.. That's very quick and cheap..and easy..

Like I said , there are several demo services on the net..Don't act to hasty.. Take your time and read all the details of the service, especially the financially side , and the service agreements..(if there are any)

the recording studio..

This recording studio is overall more expensive than a demo recording service. But it has it's advantages that you have to consider.. First of all, if it is nearby, then you can plan the recording and watch the quality, and make some changes.. So, the money spend will be spne good, cause you are in controle..

You have controle about the whole process...You are the costumer, and they will handle you as you were the King or The Queen ..The service will be excellent..The your saving will decrease also..So, when the quality of the recording goes up, the more money you will have to spend..Make sure that you have the whole finacial picture on paper before staring ..

If you have a big budget, then you can consider to take a hollidyand a working trip at the same time..Going overseas (The big apple, Nashville,London...to nam a few.)would be the perfect solution..For sure this would be the most expensive way to record your songs, but if you have the money.. It's worth thinking it over.. On the otherhand.. For that amount you can buy all the recording equipment and do the demo recording at your place..But, then you don't have a great vacation, don't you.. It's a real dillemma that ask for a big, long think it over.

Whatever you will choose,I'm sure you make the right dissicion, and will have in time your superb demo recording..It will cost you time and money, but the resuld will blow you and the others away.. Enjoy that time..Go for the adventure...and perhaps the fame and the fortune will follow...Who can tell..

4) The 'Looking for'..corner..

Also, make sure that add your exact website URL..Because your name and facebook or Twitter..Suppose I enter your name "John Smith" into the FB search box, I get a long list with names.. So, exact web url of your website,FB,Twitter, or any other web presence..Thanks...

One last Note: Make sure that you make a contract/ signed agreement if you the singer,producer/songwriter want to team-up for a song, music deal...This to avoid problems in your future career...
