Song Recording!
Hi and welcome to our "The Song recording" page. One of the most important things to do, when starting your music career is the recording of your promotion demo, and later on the mastering of your demo . After-all, your songs and music are the lifeblood of your music career. Normally your first recording happen at your home, into the bedroom, living room or any other quiet spare room around your place. There you record, and save the tunes or completed songs to the hard disk of your computer or another recording device ( like a compact recording console). The first digital music recording of your song material, that's the kick-of or the beginning of your music business career. As I already mentioned, the first recording of a song, or a tune , will be a rough version, anywhere on some quiet place. Rough recordings can be also saved on other recording gear like an Ipod,MP3 player...Although, the quality is not that good, but when it is just to save a tune to remember and record on a later date, when you have more time, you record them on your computer.
Recording tip!
Be sure you'll make a back-up of all your tunes and lyrics on a CD,( in short all files)in case something goes wrong with your computer. Believe me guy's, I know what I'm talking about. Disasters do happen now and than..When your songs got lost because of this error, this can be a real nightmare..If you have the melody, then you can start working on lyrics that fit with the melody. And so... you've taken the first steps! You wrote your first song(s)..up to the next..and the next. It's an never ending story, really.
Next step of your recording assignment...
After you have recording about 12 to 20 your songs, then you need to make a selection of which song(s) that you'll wish adding to your promotion CD. The best 3 to 4 songs will be featured . This is not a very simple step to take..
The recording of your demo is an other, more complicated story, than your first rough recording at home. But again,I'm telling you all this in a few words, but in fact, the whole process can take a few weeks, month, or even a year. Now , when we talk about the song recording or demo recording, there are three ways that you can follow.
