Recording equipment for a brilliant home recording!
Recording equipment can be an important issue in your music career, when you have just finished your soundproof, (but still empty) home recording studio.
Then, you need some furniture to put in. Starting with a table and a chair. Or do you prefer to sit more relax in a coach or a new bureau?
And now , let's start with some recording gear.
What kind of recording equipment do you need?
Of course, all depending of what you want and how you want to record your music and songs. First of all you need a computer. One with a quality sound card and some decent recording software. But this we have discussed this topic on an other page.(sound-cards)
A good quality recording studio microphone!
All depending of what or how you want to record. If you which to record real instruments, than you need more than one kind of microphone.( Drums, electric guitar) If you only want to record digital instruments and vocals, then you need only a studio microphone. Although, there are microphones for multiple use. What makes them more expensive too, of course.

The mix- table!
There are all forms and sizes. From small home studio to the enormous pro. Again, if it's only to demo your recordings, than try to see what kind of mixer will work for you the best. Maybe a 4 input mixer will be enough to start with. I don't recommend a large professional mixing table. After-all, we only going to record now and than, and not every day the whole day long. Isn't it?

The speakers!
I suppose you wish to hear how good your recorded songs are sounding, isn't it? Of-course, you need some speakers too. Normally two speakers (max 50 W) will be enough for your sound studio. You must realize that you will sit in an narrow recording room, where no sound comes in and no sound can go out.
( and..too much sound can damage your hearing.)
You can also take 500 W monitors speakers and have a lot of fun with the neighbors.( or maybe not?) But...,It's your studio and your choice of what or how that you want to record into your studi
o.
To end with......
Ask advice to people who are having a lot of experience with recording equipment. For instants, you can always take a look at a professional studio some where. Who knows, they will explain you all about their equipment, to show you how good they are. Or find some info on the internet. Remember, knowledge is the key for success. How more information you receive how better for you. Also , some recording studios organizing courses( not for free, of course). It's a good idea to follow some class in mixing and recording. So you can manage the equipment and do your own recordings as a pro. would do. Ask around and take some lessons in recording and mix & mastering, and your on the right track for a perfect demo recording. Such a demo recording you will need, not only to compete with the best, but also to show how professional you look in the eyes of the music business people. 'Cause only the best will survive and win( on the end). Don't spend too much on equipment in the beginning. Learn first and buy afterwards, is my advice. I which you lot of fun with your recordings and the use of your fantastic (new) recording equipment
